We are staying with the Masonic family
with our Special Projects this year, which will be:

Knights Templar Eye Foundation
ESTARL
Youth Groups (Jobs, Rainbow, and DeMolay)
Masonic-Eastern Star Home for Children in Fremont, Nebraska
Masonic Home in Plattsmouth, Nebraska

In addition, we will continue to support the General Grand Chapter Projects.

Our aim this year will be to increase membership, but along with that we want to reactivate participation by our members we have not seen for awhile. Most of us have been "mentors" to our Sisters and Brothers for years; however, we hope to formalize this effort by instituting an M&M program (Membership and Mentoring). One way we can help is by guiding new members in learning about our organization and explaining why we are doing something. Even with long-time members who have not been active, we can help make it easier to belong. Sometimes all it takes is asking if they need a ride to a meeting, or just by calling them to say hello and see how they are doing. We are encouraging your attendance at other Chapters and perhaps even showing how we "care and share" by filling in as officers where it is needed. Our Grand Officers will be visiting more Chapters this year and would love to be asked to fill in.

We are inviting you to join us on a 5-day Eastern Star Caribbean Cruise in February 2002 to "celebrate" our year and will have more information about this during our visitations.
